Super meal is a partially oiled coarse (milled) flour made from hemp seeds, pumpkin seeds or flax seeds. It is made from pressed seeds or kernels. The super meal is vegan and gluten free. You can use it in cooking and baking, to enhance desserts and dessert sauces, in smoothies and mueslis, or as a topping. When using, make sure to hydrate until the usual dough consistency is reached, as this coarse flour swells.
The hemp seed meal still contains up to 8% oil. Hemp seeds are considered a valuable source of protein and minerals. They also have a high fiber content and are low in carbohydrates.
